Day 1 at my job was great! :) I had lots of fun, and it really isn't that difficult or different from other jobs I have done, so that should save the brain power :)

Just a little public service announcement/advertisement that is near and dear to my heart...

As some of you know (if you have read back far enough) on April 9th, 1999, I had brain surgery to remove a meningioma brain tumor.

I have become a member of www.meningiomamommas.org which was founded by another long term survivor Liz Hozemer. She has written a book, and on April 1st it was released. (I got my autographed copy in the mail today!)

Here is my plea to all of you.... Her book is published by Ghost Road Press (http://www.ghostroadpress.com/catalog.htm) and I would like as many people as possible to order this book (click on the link to browse their catalogue to order). She is donating the profits to brain tumor research. If you cannot afford it, or would like to help out more, you can request your library to get the book. If all libraries purchased the book, then that would make a HUGE difference!

Thank you, and if there are more questions, please leave a comment :) I hope one day, they can find out what causes these types of tumors, and further their technology in the removal and treatment of them :)
